Our new Community Service Committee will be dedicated to empowering Nantucket students to to action to make our community a better place to live. This committee lead will be responsible for running projects that focus on the bettering the environment helping our fellow citizens and personal health.

The Nantucket Elementary School PTA is planning another fun-filled school year. There are many events and activities throughout the year that require your help to plan, coordinate, and staff. Please consider volunteering. Many of these options only require a few minutes or an hour of your time. Whether you have one hour or one hundred, any help is greatly appreciated!
The spirit wear and school kits committee runs both drives. Volunteers will assist with selecting vendors and options available for sale, collect payments, and distribute purchases.
The yearbook committee designs and arranges the sale of the yearbook. Volunteers will assist with gathering pictures from parents, help design the year book and organize the sale and distribution of yearbooks.
The fundraising committee is responsible for running our 2019 Boosterthon fundraiser! In addition, the fundraising committee will setup spirit nights at local restaurants and run our direct donation campaign.
Nantucket Elementary School PTA
The hospitality committee has the very enjoyable task of showing appreciation and support for our wonderful faculty and staff. The committee provides meals and small gifts throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to donate and/or shop for food and set-up and clean up from events.
The membership committee runs our annual membership drive. Volunteers will assist in data entry, proofreading and distribution of membership cards.
The community events and programs committee plans free family events for our school community. In addition to determining what events the PTA will sponsor, the committee members work with outside vendors and partners as needed; coordinate use of the building and facilities with school staff; publicize and promote the event; coordinate event volunteers and manage the event itself, including set-up and clean-up.
The communication lead works with all committee leads and the executive board to update Facebook, Twitter and our website. The communication lead is responsible for creating and emailing our bi-weekly newsletter.
