
Get ready to cheer, race, and celebrate because Field Day is coming to Nantucket Elementary on Monday, May 18, and we need YOU to help make it amazing!
We’re looking for volunteers to help run stations, guide students, and keep the energy high as our students compete in exciting games, relays, and fun-filled challenges. There’s a role for everyone.
Date: Monday, May 18
Location: Nantucket Elementary
Times: Sign up for a morning, afternoon, or all-day session.
- Morning Session: Primary (Pre-K–2nd)
- Afternoon Session: Intermediate (3rd–5th) in the afternoon.
- All-day volunteers are especially appreciated and help to ensure the event runs smoothly!

To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all students, all volunteers must complete the required AACPS guidelines.
To volunteer, you must complete the following:
AACPS Volunteer and Chaperone Background Check (2025–2026)

Select the Commercial Background Check option. Fingerprinting is not required for Field Day

Chaperone Form
Forms are available in the front office or can be emailed upon request. Submit your completed form to the Nantucket Front Office. All forms must be submitted at least three weeks prior to Field Day.
Important Notes:

AACPS employees do not need to complete the online background check. Please complete the chaperone form using your AACPS email for verification.

If you have already completed the AACPS fingerprint background check, you do not need the online check. However, the school must have a copy of your fingerprint card on file.

All volunteers must still watch the training video and sign off on the form.
