1:00-1:15pm
Nantucket Elementary School (Front side of building)

It’s that time of year again! Nantucket Elementary School will be hosting its annual Halloween parade and classroom celebrations. Students should wear their costumes to school and they will wear them throughout the day. If a student is unable to complete school work while in their costume, their costume may not be appropriate for school. Costumes should be age-appropriate for elementary school. Costumes should not invovle weapons of any kind. Masks may only be worn during the parade and celebration. Face paint is permissible as long as it is not frightening to learners in the building and the student comes to school already wearing the makeup/face paint. Students should be able to manage their costumes independently.

Students will participate in an outdoor parade promptly at 1:00pm, and then classroom teachers and pre-registered volunteers will lead students in planned activities during their 40-minute classroom celebration. The Room Parent and up to 2 volunteers will be supporting the homeroom teacher during the classroom celebration. No other visitors will be admitted to the classroom celebrations.

Individual teachers will send out further communications about volunteering and donating supplies for the celebrations.

If you do not want your child to participate due to religious belies, please let your child’s teacher know.

Please contact the school office with any questions at 410-451-6120.
